REGULAR EVENTS

Try Nordic Walking >>NEW<<

Our Nordic Walking sessions are continuing till the end of December. We offer beginners the opportunity to try this new activity by participating in one of our workshops. Workshops consist of two 1.5 hr sessions. Once you have completed this you can join in the Sunday morning walks which are a fun and social way to practise your Nordic Walking Technique, with a qualified instructor on hand for assistance.

Nordic Walking is fitness walking, using specially designed poles. It is an intensification of normal walking, with the swing of the arms and the powerful placement of the poles creating a full body workout. It is one of the fastest growing sports in the UK and a great way to take exercise regardless of age, gender or current fitness levels.

Workshops (two x 1.5 hours) cost £30; the Sunday morning walks (1hour) cost just £6. Nordic Walking poles will be provided. All you need is lots of enthusiasm and an interest in learning more. Booking is essential on 01580 879820

Health Walks - Every Friday - 10am

Come along and join our friendly group every Friday morning at 10am. Spend between 1 and 2 hours walking through Bedgebury enjoying the sights, sounds and smells whilst getting fit. No experience required and you will be encouraged to walk at your own pace. Wheelchair users welcome.

No booking required, please meet at the visitor centre. Please wear suitable clothing and footwear.

Volunteer Walk leaders

We are looking to build a small group of volunteers who are available to help us lead Health Walks at Bedgebury.

Walks last between 1 and 2 hours and currently run every Friday morning. The walks are aimed at all abilities, which includes wheelchair and mobility vehicle users.

You do not have to be available every week, just be able to let us know when you are free.

All training will be provided. Volunteers will receive a FREE standard Friends of Bedgebury membership.
