The Dog Inn restaurant is a Grade II listed 13th Century Inn that occupies a prominent position opposite the church in the picture postcard village of Wingham, 5 miles from Canterbury.


The Dog InnRestaurant, Canterbury Road, Wingham has enjoyed a meteoric rise in profile since Richard & Sherry bought the Inn back in July of 2004, helping to make Wingham a fashionable place to dine.

The restaurants reputation as one of East Kent’s finest restaurants & “Gastro-pubs” has attracted the attentions of the media. With the restaurant kitchens under the highly skilled stewardship of Steve Hogben-Lambert (Head Chef) the food & drink media have shown a real interest. Features in the Hotelkeeper, The Caterer, Eat Out Magazine and The Licensee, bear testimony to the high regard with which the restaurant cuisine is held within the food industry. Undoubtedly tipped-off, Fiona Simms, food and wine critic for The Sunday Times recently visited the restaurant for a meal with her notepad-watch this space.
